A tall mouth-blown vase with partially-textured walls. The wide, textured band is inspired by woven wicker. Mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create a contemporary textured large vase. The wicker effect is achieved by blowing the clear or cased glass gather into a wooden mould that is lined with a metal net. The rim of the glass is melted resulting in a smooth soft finish
Brand: LSA International
LSA International design and create contemporary, handmade glassware from their London-based studio. Co-founded in the 1960s by Janusz Lubkowski, today the company’s Designer & Creative Director is his daughter, Monika Lubkowska-Jonas. LSA’s first ever product was a classic enamelled coffee pot, which sold in Terence Conran’s Habitat stores. Then and now, LSA International is committed to original design, quality materials and expert craftsmanship. Monika continues her father’s vision and works to ensure that the company’s heritage is reflected in the provenance of their products. Most recently, LSA International has re-approached their process with sustainability in mind, ensuring their environmental, social and economic impact is kept to a minimum.
